BankCheck is a free bank number validation tool built with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights.
We do not collect personal data through the validation tool. All bank number validation runs entirely client-side in your browser using JavaScript. No bank numbers, account details, or validation inputs are sent to any server.
Our web server may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and referring page. This data is used solely for operating and securing the service and is not linked to any personal identity.
We plan to use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use BankCheck, such as which pages are visited and which formats are most popular. When active, Google Analytics may set performance and analytics cookies on your device.
Current status: As of the last updated date above, analytics tracking is not yet active. BankCheck currently sets no cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts.
When analytics is enabled, you will be able to opt out by using your browser's cookie settings, enabling the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or using a content blocker.
Bank numbers you enter are processed exclusively in your browser. They are never transmitted, logged, or stored by BankCheck. Validation algorithms run locally using JavaScript, and results are displayed without any server round-trip.
BankCheck uses or plans to use the following third-party services:
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Under the GDPR (EU/EEA):
Under the CCPA (California):
Since BankCheck does not collect personal data through its validation tool, these rights primarily apply to any data that may be collected through analytics (when active) or server logs.
BankCheck does not retain any user-submitted data. Bank numbers entered into the tool exist only in your browser's memory during your session and are never persisted.
BankCheck is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
