By accessing or using BankCheck, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
BankCheck is a free, client-side bank number validation tool. It checks the format, length, and checksum of bank numbers including IBANs, US routing numbers, UK sort codes, and SWIFT/BIC codes. The service also includes an IBAN generator, educational guides, and a free public REST API. No account or registration is required to use any feature.
BankCheck validates the structural and mathematical correctness of bank numbers only. A valid result does not confirm that an account exists, is active, or belongs to a particular person or entity.
BankCheck is not a financial institution and does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. Always confirm account details directly with your bank before initiating transfers or payments.
BankCheck is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that validation results will be accurate or complete in all cases. Bank number formats and rules may change, and there may be a delay before such changes are reflected in the tool.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BankCheck and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service.
This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability, BankCheck's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to BankCheck in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one euro (€1.00).
The BankCheck name, logo, and original content are the property of BankCheck. The service may include open-source software components, which are governed by their respective licenses.
BankCheck provides a free public REST API for programmatic validation of bank numbers. The API is provided on the same “as is” basis as the web interface.
BankCheck may rate-limit, modify, suspend, or discontinue the API at any time without prior notice. We make no guarantees regarding API uptime, availability, response times, or continued support for any particular endpoint or response format.
You integrate and use the API entirely at your own risk. BankCheck is not liable for any decisions, financial transactions, or system failures resulting from reliance on API responses. If you build systems that depend on BankCheck's API, you are solely responsible for implementing appropriate fallbacks, error handling, and independent verification of bank details.
BankCheck offers free and paid API tiers. Free tiers (Open and Starter) require no payment and remain free. Paid tiers (Pro and Business) are billed monthly via Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, your paid-tier access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free Starter tier.
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access for the remainder of that month but will not receive a prorated refund.
BankCheck reserves the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' prior notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period following the notice.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. BankCheck does not store credit card numbers or payment credentials.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BankCheck, its operators, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of BankCheck after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of BankCheck shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
